Diane Webster, Founder & Director of The Borner Farm Project

Diane has lived in Prescott with her husband Baard, their daughters Bailey and Malaby, and an ongoing string of furry, four-legged friends for more than 30 years. She is a lover of the outdoors and can find something to do in almost any weather. Cross-country skiing, hiking, and kayaking are favorite sports, while growing food, cooking for friends and family, and working to strengthen the communities around her are the driving forces that get her up in the morning and feed her soul. She is eternally grateful for the endless support of her family and of every individual who has walked up the driveway of this little urban farm to support a crazy big dream: We really can make a difference!

Baard Webster, Oven Master

I have lived in Prescott since 1985 with my wife, Diane and our dog, Daisy. We raised two wonderful daughters and thoroughly enjoy the area. I have a background in marketing and in 1995 Diane and I started Funkie Gardens, a specialty nursery focused on unique and rare perennials, trees and shrubs. We sold the business in 2010 and shortly thereafter I became the GM of Spiral Natural Foods in Hastings, MN. I retired in 2015 and now help on the farm during pizza events: preparing the wood-fired ovens and baking the pizzas. I love to cook, garden and golf.  Hope to see you this year at one of our pizza nights!

Emily Betzler, Staff

I have been part of The Borner Farm Project team since June 2011, after graduating from Northland College in Ashland, WI. Over the years I have had a hand in growing our delicious vegetables, doing marketing, networking, volunteer and event coordination, and experimenting with cut flower production. In my spare time I like to meet new bugs and invent novel ways to include sauerkraut in my breakfast.

Amy Tix, Staff

I. Love. Veggies.

So when the opportunity came up to be part of the amazing Borner Farm staff, I was thrilled! In addition to my love of all things veggie and gardening, I have years of experience in marketing, communications, and graphic design in the nonprofit world. I look forward to being part of the many exciting things that happen at Borner Farm Project and finding new ways to use all of the super-nutritious, super-delicious produce (see my blog posts for recipe ideas).
